When integrating the workflow APIs with an order entry system, Jivox recommends the following best practices:
- Standardize your naming conventions for advertiser, ad, and campaigns. This will make it easier to search and find advertisers, ads, and campaigns across different systems.
- Standardize your ad units and sizes. The APIs only allow the creation of standard size ad units. To use non-standard ad sizes, you must create them using Jivox IQ.
- Standardize the naming of sites and placements. Use the same names as the publisher, as this might help you to automatically generate tags.
- A publisher need not integrate with all the APIs. In many cases, automating just the account creation step with a password less account access from the order entry system maybe all that is needed to keep things consistent across systems and monitor the status of a campaign.
